Facing complicated situations, such as identifying the environment of the street, or reading verification codes on screens, visually impaired users can utilize the real-time video call function from WeVoice Plus to contact our volunteers, who will provide audio or verbal guidance after viewing users surroundings. For simple identification of an object, visually impaired users can enjoy text recognition and text-to-speech function to read out the any text. Visually impaired can also send the photo of their surroundings or an object to volunteers and volunteer will identify the objects by text and audio.

Although video calls can be made through WeVoice Plus solely, due to their disabilities, visually impaired people may not be able to point their mobile phones accurately at objects and their surroundings. But with the help of WeVoice Glasses, this problem can be solved directly.

Users can wear the WeVoice Glasses like normal eyeglasses. When they are having visual communication with volunteers through WeVoice Plus, with Wi-fi and bluetooth technology, instant video and audio signals can be transmitted through the glasses to the app, which enables volunteers to have a more accurate view of users’ surroundings. Furthermore, with the use of bone conduction BT headphone and microphone installed on WeVoice Glasses, the voice quality will be improved by a great extent and thus volunteers can provide more appropriate assistance.

We are currently testing the WeVoice Glasses with suitable visually impaired people and it will be available for sale afterwards. It is a perfect match with the free WeVoice Plus to connect visually impaired people more closely with society and thus achieve social integration more effectively.
